I was lucky enough to stay at the beautiful Breathless Riviera Cancun twice last year (it’s also a fan favorite).  The first visit was a romantic get-away with my hubby, and the second time was a much needed fun girls trip.  I had a FANTASTIC time during both trips!

Besides the fact that the rooms are super contemporary, the food is incredible, and the grounds are immaculate…the best part about this resort is that it is ADULTS ONLY!  This makes it a perfect option for a couples trip or a girls’ get-away.

  1. Rise and Shine! - The best way you can start your day at Breathless Riviera Cancun is by waking up just a bit early to watch the sunrise, which is absolutely breathtaking. If you’re in an Ocean Front room, the sun comes up over the water at the perfect angle to catch this spectacular display from the comfort of your balcony. Watching the colors of the sky transition as the sun makes its way up high in the sky is one of the most gorgeous beginnings to the day that I can imagine. You can even order room service and enjoy your breakfast and coffee as you watch this beautiful display. 

  2. Relax, relate, and release! – Truly allow yourself to get in vacation mode with yoga on the beach after breakfast. There is something about gazing out at the water and hearing the sound of the waves in the background that create a very serene yoga experience.

  3. Fun in the Sun! - One of the most FUN activities at Breathless is the themed bubble pool party that the resort throws in the “Xcelerate” zone a couple of times a week.  Imagine grabbing a margarita from the swim-up bar, dancing to music played by the DJ spinning tunes on a platform nearby, all while the pool is brimming with foam.  Keep in mind, this isn’t a spring break vibe…it’s a mature, sophisticated, fun atmosphere. However, if themed foam parties aren’t your thing (although who can resist a Mardi Gras or Greek God themed party??) you can elect to hang out in the Energy pool, which has a more chill, laid back vibe.

  4. Eat your heart out - This list couldn’t possibly be complete without a mention of their incredibly diverse fine dining options at Breathless Riviera Cancun.  While the food at Spoon (the buffet restaurant) is delicious, treat yourself to some of the delectable cuisine at one of the specialty restaurants. There are so many options to choose from (French, Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Steak), that you’re certain to find something that delights your taste buds. And with the exception of the hibachi experience at the Chinese restaurant, no reservations are needed so you can let the mood of the night guide you to whichever restaurant you like.

  5. Enjoy a nightcap! – After a fun-filled day of yoga, pool parties, and gourmet dining, what better way to end your evening than with a cocktail from one of the resorts many bars.  Sip on your favorite martini or mixed drink while perusing an outdoor art showcase, enjoying a performance at the theater, or shaking your thing on the dance floor in the nightclub.  At Breathless Riviera Cancun, the nighttime options are second to none!
